digital restoration

Traditional conservation and restoration involves the application of material to the object such as a piece of art to prevent it from deteriorating any further, this may mean returning the object to its original state. Digital conservation and restoration on the other hand does not involve changing the original piece of work at all, consequently no physical applications are applied to the object. Any changes or interventions take place in the digital space.
